Teacher Voice Tuesday

I am reposting a photo... don't judge me. Just imagine I'm wearing black tights in this since it's now December. I'm sorry! This was my go to outfit this morning when I didn't know what I wanted to wear. Already put together and accessorized so I didn't have to think about it. But there was no way I was getting a picture today. The past few nights I haven't slept for more than 2 hours each, yup. I'm a responsible teacher, definitely. Well technically Saturday was the weekend, the casino, so I could be irresponsible. Sunday I just had a ton of work, I was making mac n cheese at 1 am for a presentation for class (I equated my teaching style to my mac n cheese recipe, yup, you'll get that below too because I feel awful for reposting) then couldn't sleep. And last night was Dave's official birthday, Kate was sleeping over because of the bad weather and she's always alone at her apartment, so she somehow convinced me to go the Blarn after I finished my evaluation. Hmmm... how did that happen. Even thinking back to Friday and last week I didn't sleep much. You know me. Actually, Friday was my date with Jimmie, ehhh it didn't go well. So... I ended up going on another date, spur of the moment kind of thing because I felt like it, Taylor and I went for tea. Andddd I didn't get home till 1:30, haha. But tonight, sleep. However, despite all that, my teacher voice was somehow so on today. More so than usual. Things are just getting better and better :) 

However, speaking of all that. I am currently completely stringless, haha. Steven officially left for home, I saw him Thursday for that last time, he leaves for England on the 2nd. I ended things with Jimmie, I decided I didn't actually like him all that much for various reasons, he didn't take that so well. And Taylor, he probably won't make it past Friday, he said he gets attached really easily to girls so he has trouble casually dating, totes not what I'm looking to do right now, he understood. So that's me, stringless... for now ;)

GOOD NEWS! I had my midterm evaluation today, like my official official one where Shannon and Kyle assess me on the standards and whatnot and I have to give evidence that I'm doing everything - I passed with flying colors! YAY! Shannon even gave me a 3 in one of the sections. Usually people get 1s and 2s? So I must be doing something right, woooo. They said such nice things though. I was so so happy afterwards. Because I was super nervous about it all week, so much so that I made myself sick last night and felt awful all today. But apparently I had nothing to worry about. They said I'm a natural, I have a lot of skills new teachers struggle with and that I only need to improve on - planning lessons further in advance and scanning during class, both things I knew. That kind of made my day so I thought I'd share :)
