It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

So my outfit today is incredibly lazy, don't judge me. I literally rolled off my couch this morning, threw this on and went to school. Yes, I slept on the couch. My roomies are officially gone which means I am alone for the next month :/ ehhhh. So I'm going to be doing a lot of sleeping on the couch, I know, weird but that's what I do when I'm alone.

I got my first Christmas present ever from a student! It says To: Ms. M From: Dominik and it's a box of chocolates. Awwww. I was so surprised, he's so sweet.

This is what we did today in class, graphing coordinate pictures! And we listened to holiday music. The kids actually really loved it. And they needed the practice with graphing, so it was a win-win situation.

I just wish pants did not exist. However, I need to extend my tights collection so I have more colors that match my dresses and skirts. In the meantime, ugh, pants.

In other news, apparently I have a boyfriend ;) Haha, just kidding. But according to the kids I do... Bryant, Mr. Cortes and I are now dating according to the rumors. Because tonight is Coffee House (like a school talent show) and the teachers are doing a number, of course. So he came to my class this morning to pull me out to rehearse for it with all the other teachers, he was just the one that volunteered to come get me. Well when I came back the kids were all high school about it, ugh. So it came up with a few of the teachers later and they flat out asked me if anything was going on because they thought there might be. WHAT?! Apparently they all think he has a thing for me anyways. I cannot date a faculty member at school as an MAT, unprofessional. Oh life.

Teacher Voice Tuesday

I am reposting a photo... don't judge me. Just imagine I'm wearing black tights in this since it's now December. I'm sorry! This was my go to outfit this morning when I didn't know what I wanted to wear. Already put together and accessorized so I didn't have to think about it. But there was no way I was getting a picture today. The past few nights I haven't slept for more than 2 hours each, yup. I'm a responsible teacher, definitely. Well technically Saturday was the weekend, the casino, so I could be irresponsible. Sunday I just had a ton of work, I was making mac n cheese at 1 am for a presentation for class (I equated my teaching style to my mac n cheese recipe, yup, you'll get that below too because I feel awful for reposting) then couldn't sleep. And last night was Dave's official birthday, Kate was sleeping over because of the bad weather and she's always alone at her apartment, so she somehow convinced me to go the Blarn after I finished my evaluation. Hmmm... how did that happen. Even thinking back to Friday and last week I didn't sleep much. You know me. Actually, Friday was my date with Jimmie, ehhh it didn't go well. So... I ended up going on another date, spur of the moment kind of thing because I felt like it, Taylor and I went for tea. Andddd I didn't get home till 1:30, haha. But tonight, sleep. However, despite all that, my teacher voice was somehow so on today. More so than usual. Things are just getting better and better :) 

However, speaking of all that. I am currently completely stringless, haha. Steven officially left for home, I saw him Thursday for that last time, he leaves for England on the 2nd. I ended things with Jimmie, I decided I didn't actually like him all that much for various reasons, he didn't take that so well. And Taylor, he probably won't make it past Friday, he said he gets attached really easily to girls so he has trouble casually dating, totes not what I'm looking to do right now, he understood. So that's me, stringless... for now ;) 

EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!!! 

GOOD NEWS! I had my midterm evaluation today, like my official official one where Shannon and Kyle assess me on the standards and whatnot and I have to give evidence that I'm doing everything - I passed with flying colors! YAY! Shannon even gave me a 3 in one of the sections. Usually people get 1s and 2s? So I must be doing something right, woooo. They said such nice things though. I was so so happy afterwards. Because I was super nervous about it all week, so much so that I made myself sick last night and felt awful all today. But apparently I had nothing to worry about. They said I'm a natural, I have a lot of skills new teachers struggle with and that I only need to improve on - planning lessons further in advance and scanning during class, both things I knew. That kind of made my day so I thought I'd share :)

So Saturday was Dave's birthday at the casino, I haven't seen all the pictures yet and unfortunately Kate and I were the best photographers of the evening so there aren't any good ones of us, lame. Maybe some will turn up? But it was actually super fun. I had a really good time, for the most part, haha. Of course, there's always drama, ugh.

Casual Curly Compliment Friday

Haha. I wore my hair curly today! The kids LOVED it! I don't think I've ever gotten so many compliments, geez. They said I should do it more often. We had this conversation... Wednesday about it so I promised today I would wear it curly. Maybe I will do it more often. It wasn't too bad showering at night. I got to sleep in a bit this morning lol. But everyone was complimenting me today, weird. All the kids loved my outfit and my hair, ALL of them. Even a ton of the boys, right when they saw me this morning, too funny. And all the teachers... including Bryant ;) he totes checked me out, haha. Which is good because I'm on my way out the door for a date. I changed into my actual jeans, not my teacher jeans but kept the rest. So hopefully Jimmie feels the same way :P

My car remote stopped working this morning... so I tried to get into my car with the regular key. Apparently it didn't like that. The alarm was going off forever. Dad said there was a switch under the hood... there wasn't. Great start to my morning. He just dropped off my other set of keys, ugh.

Oh Wednesdays. I teach allllllll day. No breaks. Lame. And on top of that, in math, I decided to do a fun motion lab with the kids - of course the technology gave us SOOO many problems. That's what I get for using technology.

Tie Tuesday

Except not, but it's Tim's thing, he's been wearing a tie every Tuesday and the kids get really excited about it. It's adorable. 

So funny story, I usually wear this with a white sweater. Disappeared this morning. I totes forget that I can wear sweaters that I wear as sweaters as cardigans, did that make sense? Haha. So last minute I remembered this would work, success, I like it so much better than the white too! My kids all complimented me on my outfit. "You must be feeling better Ms. M, you're wearing a dress! It's so weird seeing you in pants, you hate pants." Yes, yes I do. And "Ms. M, can I have your dress? And your sweater? I love them both. And you." Quotes of today :)

Seriously though, the kids thought I had cancer or some other disease and I was dying. Oh my goodness. It feels good to be back, soooo many hugs, awww. And they were so good for me today too. It was adorable. I missed them <3
